The Red River Valley Asperger-Autism Network's mission is to educate, empower, advocate and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including Asperger Syndrome (AS), Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), High Functioning Autism (HFA), their families and the community.
The RRVAN is committed to raising awareness within our educational, medical and law enforcement communities about ASDs by distributing information and facilitating educational opportunities. Advocating on the behalf of individuals with ASDs and their families, we hope to spread the word about ASDs.
The RRVAN supports legislation to ban isolation and restraint in schools.

The RRVAN is a hub of support and information for those in our area affected by ASDs. We are a non-profit organization spreading the word about ASDs, promoting tolerance of neurodiversity and helping those with ASDs succeed. Although the RRVAN is aimed primarily at the Fargo-Moorhead area, we have and will continue to travel throughout ND and MN to fulfill our mission. We are committed to raising awareness within our educational, medical and law enforcement communities about ASDs by distributing information and facilitating educational opportunities.
We currently manage support groups, provide a speaker's bureau, maintain a website with community resource information, hold an annual family centered membership event, and support community recreational opportunities.
